This program has been approved for 27 Category A Continuing Education Credits by the National Association of Social Workers, NH Chapter.
This training is designed for practitioners who want to incorporate the Adventure Therapy practice approach into their services. The content will cover a clinical model for practice and will span multiple aspects of AT including: foundations, assessment, intervention, facilitation, technical skills, administration, ethics and values, monitoring, and more!
The course is centered around a 4-day, 32 hour, in-person training located at the beautiful University of New Hampshire Browne Center in Durham, NH. The additional 10 hours of course content will be conducted virtually prior to this 4-day program. Participants will be trained in the clinical and technical skills needed to conduct accessible adventure interventions including games, initiatives, hiking, orienteering, campfires, and outdoor cooking. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, housing, and additional meals.
Register before June 7th to receive the Early Bird Registration rate! This training has a minimum participant number of 8 participants. The decision will be made by June 10th about whether or not the course will be held. If the course is canceled by Adventure Therapist, LCC, registrants will be refunded their full deposit.
