This training is designed for practitioners who want to incorporate the Adventure Therapy practice approach into their services. The content will cover a clinical model for practice and will span multiple aspects of AT including: foundations, assessment, intervention, facilitation, technical skills, administration, ethics and values, monitoring, and more!
The course is centered around a 3-day, 27 hour, in-person training located at Lantern Lane Farm. The additional 10 hours of course content will be conducted virtually prior to this 3-day program. Participants will be trained in the clinical and technical skills needed to conduct accessible adventure interventions including games, initiatives, hiking, and orienteering. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, housing, and additional meals.
